NIKE WHITE HOT

CLIENT : NIKE

STUDIO : BUCK

The team at BUCK and I were tasked with created a series of developed looks for each
of the sneakers in the ‘White Hot’ collection. We gave the Air Force 1, Air Max 270,
Vapormax, Air Jordan 1 and 3 a colour soaked surrounds to make each silouette pop.

Exploring different influences and origins of each shoe to define their respective surrounding
textures, colours and finish with fluid, yet revealing animations to match.

“For the launch of 5 classic shoes in perhaps the most classic colourway there is,
we unlocked the gradient tool and blasted our screens with ramped colours.

Then. We bubbled, we distorted, we deconstructed, ripped, pulled, peeled
and revealed the shoes to their pure white on white on whiteness.”

HAYDEN JAMES LIVE VISUALS

CLIENT : HAYDEN JAMES

Live visuals for Hayden James’ Just Friends Tour, art directed, designed and animated with James van den Elshout and Tim Grove.

We came to the conclusion that his music not only deserved an intelligent treatment for each song but an
overarching visual system that encapsulates the Hayden James brand.

Building upon existing colour palettes, themes and visual language whilst also providing a ruleset
that best communicated the message of each song using the ‘Colour Wheel Theory of Love’
an idea created by Canadian psychologist John Alan Lee that describes six styles of love.

We assigned one song to each creative of the three we were given, my song was Permission To Love.

With orange and gold hues assigned for the track’s category of relationship,
being based upon Hayden asking his fiance’s father permission to marry his, now wife.
I designed a brutalist, church-like structure to house a prized wedding ring
rotating on a plinth in honour the back story.

ECOANXIETY- MICRO SAND

PERSONAL WORK

With the earth on the verge of environmental collapse in the next generation’s forseeable future I’m presented with
a need to create art and media that stirs inspiration to both value our environment and it’s future.
This feeling of impending doom recently coined as ‘Ecoanxiety’ I felt to be an appropriate name of this series.

‘Ecoanxiety- Micro Sand’ is inspired by beautiful shapes seen when sand is observed microscopically at 300x.
I was inspired to model and texture these shapes to craft a composition that represents an element of unseen beauty
in our coastal environment, something as seemingly simple as sand has such
a world of beauty lying beneath the reach of the human eye.

It’s easy in our everyday lives to overlook significantly beautiful our surrounding environment flora and fauna is
and why it's preservation is so imperative for future generations to appreciate and preserve.

the art direction for the video was inspired by 2000’s sixth generation console era graphics
to create an environment that visually matches both their unique aesthetic and the song’s lyrical pace.

SHOWROOM INCENTIVE

PERSONAL WORK

Showroom Incentive collides the automotive world with luxury materials in a still life composition.
Rigid blue and orange terrazzo blocks form a solid base to contrast delicate iridescent forms and anodized metals.

The choice of wheel is an SSR XR-4 Longchamp, cast in a premium metal and finish balanced below an iridescent Porsche headlight,
framed by floral and rock-like forms alongside a watermelon patterned anodized vase.

Showroom Incentive was exhibited at ‘Goodspace’s 3rd Year Anniversary Group Show’.
It was also one of the first to be sold on the night for it’s asking price.
